Daniel is a beautiful melody from Elton John's Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player album in 1973. It was co-written with Bernie Taupin.

A C harmonica works great for this one - C Hohner Special 20

You can find a downloadable version of the harmonica tabs under the Help Files link above.

Difficulty on this one will come from playing at the high end of the harmonica.

The good thing about a C harmonica is that it is in the middle range of keys meaning that the high notes aren't too high and the low notes aren't too low.

If you have difficulties with the high notes, check your breathing.

Make sure you are breathing from deep down, keep your throat open and shoulders relaxed.

Aim for playing single notes for the melody.

All the techniques required to master Daniel on harmonica are provided in the Harmonica Essentials curriculum of Harp N Guitar.

Have fun. Let me know how you make out. Leave a comment.

Peace. Stay in tune.
