A C harmonica is the first one you need to follow along with the lessons on the site. I often play a Hohner Special 20 Harmonica in the key of C through a Shure Green Bullet microphone Model 5200 and Fender Super Champ amplifier

George, starting to connect with holes 2 and 1. Not as precise with my 3 and 4 bend. Making progress. Your teaching style is easy to follow. Bravo! Love the explanation of notes as they relate to the harp holes. Can’t wait to start making connection with harp notes to guitar chords. Need more instruction as to what harp notes are played with 1 4 5 chords in the 12 bar blues format.

1st time all the way through, 2 or 3 more views and i should have it…right now im using tongue and turning the harp so it is a little diamond shaped
Hi Stephen. Keep on practicing and you’ll get it. Remember to breathe from your diaphragm.
Thank you so much!! I am now bending notes. 1,2,3,4,5,6 !!! Awesome π I have been trying for a long time and I finally got it with your lesson on bent notes. I’m so happy and proud of my accomplishment. Thanks again George.

Right on Gary. That’s awesome to hear.
Watch the bending on draw 5. There is only a semi-tone between blow 5 and draw 5 so there really isn’t much to bend there and you can weaken the draw reed trying to get a bend that just isn’t there.
Thanks, George
